Different Rack Types:
1. Squat Stand
Also referred to as a rack, half cage, or half rack, a squat stand is a simple and compact workout station that supports barbells for squats and other exercises.
2. Half Cage
This type of squat stand is called a half cage because it features two vertical metal posts instead of the four found in a power rack. It’s a minimalist solution for weightlifters who don’t need a fully enclosed cage.
3. Half Rack
A half rack is a smaller version of a power rack. It’s designed for exercises performed outside the cage, offering versatility while saving space.
4. Power Rack
Also known as a power cage or squat cage, the power rack has four upright posts and crossbeams that form a “cage.” This design provides excellent safety and stability for heavy lifts.
5. Combo Rack
The combo rack is a versatile piece of equipment that combines a squat rack and a bench press. It features adjustable uprights, making it ideal for squatting and benching in one station.
