We are proud to participate in the Food-A-Thon annually. Nearly 1 in 8 Georgians is living with food insecurity, including 1 in 6 children. In our 29-county service area, 1 in 9 people are affected, including 1 in 7 children. Food insecurity refers to USDA’s measure of lack of access, at times, to enough food for an active, healthy life for all household members and limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate foods. Every penny counts, each $1 = 4 Meals. DONATE HERE
The Food-A-Thon is an annual food drive hosted by the Atlanta Apartment Association and its membership. It is the annual community service project of the Atlanta Apartment Association. All charitable donations collected go to the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB) to help thousands of people who are in need.
Each year AAA’s Food-A-Thon donates millions of meals to help feed Georgia’s hungry. Throughout our 30+ year partnership with ACFB, AAA has donated more than 130 Million meals to Georgia families in need.
These facts and statistics show just how widespread hunger is here in Georgia. And how it affects everyone, not just those who are food insecure.
