In late 2022, Mayor Allegood of Acworth, GA began partnering with GA Kids Belong on its Foster Friendly initiative. Realizing that foster families were an underserved, yet critically important, population in our community, he decided to challenge the whole city to be Foster Friendly! Acworth Cares is the result of this challenge! If we work together, by the end of 2023, Acworth is on track to become Georgia’s first Foster Friendly City!
