Cobb County’s Newest Little Free Library sponsored by Innovative Fitness

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for a new Little Free Library (LFL) sponsored by Innovative Fitness through Cobb Collaborative.

Little Free Libraries are often miniature houses filled with books, encouraging the community to “Take a book and “Share a Book”. This encourages readers to borrow and donate books to the system. Little Free Library’s mission is “to be a catalyst for building community, inspiring readers, and expanding book access for all through a global network of volunteer-led Little Free Libraries.” There are currently over 150,000 LFL in over 110 countries.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on February 10th to celebrate the installation of Cobb County’s newest LFL. The LFL is located at the Marietta Early Learning Center, which is a daycare focused on helping children develop through a nurturing environment with peers and caregivers.

It is our hope that the newest LFL will inspire readers, expand book access, and increase literacy in the community.

Members of our team were present along with members of Cobb Collaborative, the Marietta Early Learning Center, Cobb Community Foundation, and the Emily Lembeck Early Learning Center.
